Thanks. you are quite right about the effect of social relief programs as a means of reaching people under these circumstances. I was involved in a number of similar outreaches and had the privilege of organizing one with my friends and fellowship members before I left that community. We adopted this methods in many creative ways.

I left Sokoto finally earlier this year anyway.

I find this post quite interesting.First of all I will remember you all in my prayers.
The word of God admonishes us to be discreet in the things we do. Jesus said to give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar…in essence to respect the rule of law, in the Land we find ourselves.I mentioned previously that I live in the middle east, basically more strict,than northern Nigerian about kingdom things.
Since open evangelism is against the law, your means of evangelism becomes your life style. The locals will notice this and come to you themselves…hence an opportunity for sharing.First make friends with the locals, when they you gain their trust and friendship, opportunity will arise for you to share. Your fellowship for instance ,can organize events to reach out to the needy in the community (the doctors amongst you can treat people locally,use your profession to reach out to the people in which ever way they are applicable). You will be amazed at the results.

Well Mallam…lol…Every place you find your self, is an opportunity to be a light to the people around. I live in the Arab region, so I understand that there might be some restrictions placed on open word sharing. One thing I have noticed, is that men are always attracted to light.Be the Light you are. Shine!!

Thanks Tee, this is really inspiring. I now know to expand my prayer network. I love to stand in the gap, but until I read some of these passages again, it has been a closed circle of intercession.
There is not a thing like too much prayers, but a prayer sown now, is like unlocking doors even before arrival.
