You are welcome! Please let me introduce you to a Christian...
Looking, learning, growing and following
Step by step, he’s imitating Jesus;
Leaning, trusting, overcoming and testifying
Over sin and self, becoming victorious.
Wisdom, melody, worship, thanksgiving...
Applying his heart to things pure and praise worthy.
Yielding body, intellect, substance and everything -
His instruments to bring God glory.
Seeking, praying, blessing and supporting
Pursuing at being no more than a servant
Loving, touching, healing and forgiving,
For no vain glory or selfish interest.
Being a citizen, neighbor, worker or lover
Bringing Christ to his every station.
An encourager, healer and peacemaker;
Being a Christian is his primary occupation.
If he falls, it’s only so he’ll rise again.
He is what he is by the grace of God.
He has no past to defend and nothing to feign -
He’s what God says he is, he’s a man of God.

Ten Ways the Internet Is Changing Evangelism and Missions By John Edmiston

I came across this article in the current edition of Lausanne World Pulse, I think it’s quite interesting and worthy of sharing. Enjoy!
July 2010!
Happy new month! this month makes it about a year and half since I started this blog. Phew!
Thank God for his sustenance through the first half of the year. God has been quite good to me on every side. Looking back at most of the goals I set for myself this year. I can tell He is definitely seeing me through.
Anyway, I’ve been thinking there is quite a number of things I can do to add some freshness to the blog, actually I think I’ve been having a conflict with two parallel streams, that I’ld rather isolate or seperate. In essence the Everyday Christian blog may soon become two blogs. Just keep your fingers crossed on that.
Nonetheless, watch out for some really useful posts on the blog this july.
Remain Blessed.
Poetry: The World

The world is standing on her crown
Her skirt’s open to outer space
Everything is seen in delusion
For rebellion like a thick fog mantles the atmosphere
Poetry: Life is a Road

Life is a road;
The only course there is
That varies in length and clearance
According to those who use it.
Being Nigerian
An identity crisis

I like to think I’m a patriot, I fancy myself a true Nigerian, but the problem is … I don’t know what that means anymore, actually I guess I never did. So I ask myself: what does it mean to be Nigerian? what is the Nigerian identity? what does it symbolize? What in it’s essence am I proud to be identified with? Read the full article here …
Poetry: Restore my Soul
Sin lives at my door post… every minute knocking
Offenses arrayed in every day’s wake… temptation lurking
I’ve courted compromise; arrogance, lusts… are familiar neighbors
I shudder ‘n horror as scum and bile my palate savors.
Apparently mere will always will miserably fail
There’s war in my members, I feel so terribly frail
Can I truly be stripped of this self… this my garment? Read the full article here …
… Bursting the silence
Tongue Tied
Quite recently, I get disappointed with myself, whenever I fail to do at least 1 new blog post for a week (now it’s been over 2 weeks and no post). Fortunately or unfortunately, this time around I can’t blame it on any technical problem, or reason beyond my control.
The truth is I’ve been a little distracted. I’ve just not been able to write, though I had quite a number of things I felt like writing about.

Poetry: Home-sick for Heaven

A pilgrim in an alien world
Constantly seeking intervention from my Lord
By nothing consoled in this raided place
Like the small picture of home that lingers before my face. Read the full article here …
Gospel Watch
The call to prayer is an earnest call upon every true believer. You can commit to pray each day for atleast one of the least reached people groups in the world using the information provided (in the box to the right side) by the Joshua Project with unreached people groups rotated daily. God bless you as you join in.
How To Pray
Pray that God will open up avenues for the preaching of the gospel to this people group. Col 4:3
pray that every obstacle hindering this people group from accessing the gospel will be removed. 2Cor 4:3,4; 1 Cor 16:9
Pray for missionaries sent and to be sent to this people that God will strenghten and uphold them in face of challenges and give to them increasing oppurtunities for more effective work. Eph 6:19,20; 2Thes 3:1-3; Acts4:29
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Mt 24:14 (KJV)
